Nature Spirits

Clay and ceramic glaze, 3–10 cm.
Nature Spirits 2025
The ‘message’ of the Nature Spirits is up to the viewer; where they are and what they are doing is up to you to determine. They might be looking after the moss around them or playing with a woodlouse! They are spirits of Nature, and spirits work in mysterious ways.
The nature spirits are uniquely glazed, reclaimed clay ceramics. They aim to encourage the viewer to look deeper into our own surroundings and explore the art of the natural world at our feet. Originally, they were exhibited as a series of 80+ sculptures; ‘The Nature Spirits’ presence isn’t essential to the art, as when the viewer attempts to find the ceramics they see more of the moss and low lying plants they wouldn’t have otherwise looked at.
The “spirits” were offered for sale at £12 each, alongside 8 × 6 inch photographic prints of them in a local woodland. Contact @galleryofthegiants or @oli_d.art for details.
